Welcome to Dento-Kai Karate.Established in 1985 our clubs are situated in the Tameside, Stockport and Glossop area of Greater Manchester. Our family orientated classes are designed to teach karate and self-defence in an enjoyable, informative and safe environment. Our classes are suitable for all the family (children 4 years +) and so kids, teenagers and mums and dads can all enjoy keeping fit and having fun whilst learning this exciting Japanese Martial Art.Our Instructors are fully qualified black belts with many years’ experience in teaching all age groups, and to people of all sizes and levels of fitness.
We make new members feel very welcome from the start and encourage you to gradually develop your skills and fitness at a pace that suits you. There are no egos to contend with at our clubs and we make sure that self-control, respect for others and courtesy form the basis of every lesson.
We strongly believe that to become a martial artist you must learn to follow the ‘martial way and therefore we promote these values in our classes.

Dru Yoga: 7.30-9pm
DRU Yoga is a gentle class containing soft, flowing movements, together with breathing and deep relaxation to encourage both the mind and body to repair and renew.
The practice of Dru Yoga can help to relieve stress, increase flexibility, release muscle tension and improve energy levels. In addition many of the techniques that you will learn will enable you to feel more confident, patient, balanced, clear minded and composed.
The classes have a friendly, informal feel and I would love to share the joy of practising Dru Yoga with you. I currently have a mixture of in person and online classes available. Your six class pass is valid at any of these sessions.

The perfect class for babies aged from six weeks to six months.
Caterpillar Club is a gentle, multi-sensory baby development class designed for all of our younger babies. The classes feature the opportunity to engage in a calming baby massage at the end of each session, to really enhance the bond between you both – and to ensure a long nap for your growing baby, too! Classes in our Caterpillar Club focus on your baby’s cognitive, linguistic, physical, social & emotional development in a fun, relaxed and creative way.
Busy Bees 6-12m
This is the class for babies aged 6 months and over (up to walking).
Our highly interactive Busy Bees baby development classes are perfect for babies busy getting ready to get mobile. Your baby will stretch, roll, reach, crawl and shuffle through a wide range of activities that will stimulate and encourage their fine and gross motor skills, body awareness and early language acquisition. Each activity has been researched in line with Early Years ages and stages of learning to engage your little one whilst promoting that special bond between you both.

Our brand new state of the art cheerleading gym THE GREENHOUSE opened in WALESWOOD, ROTHERHAM in January 2018.
Our second location INTENSITY MANCHESTER launched in 2017. Followed by our 3rd location INTENSITY MARPLE in September 2018.

What is Nia ? Nia is a 35 year old worldwide form of movement for fitness and health (20 years here in the UK). Each Nia Teacher brings their own essence to the form inspired and informed by a worldwide and local community of teachers and trainers.
Why have you never heard of Nia ? Nia has grown low-profile through word-of mouth. It needs no glib endorsements, when people find it, they can’t believe a class could feel so good. Nia invests instead in constant improvement and teacher training.
What is Special about it ? its more than a fitness class – there a functional fitness and general health & wellbeing technique behind the classes the wonderful music, the pleasurable yet effective way we move (ideally barefoot, but shoes are an option)
Nia is a pleasurable and health-sustaining experience to support and sustain ease of movement, cardio health and whole-person well-being. It is great for all ages and abilities.
Consider it for really effective all-round fitness, weight-loss or for recovery from injury, and short or long term illness – all these goals are possible because you can do Nia at your level according to your level of fitness. Movements are simple to master and feel like dance – but without the complicated steps!
